Default 89 civic si w/1st gen ls vtec.

is it only my car or does anyone else have a problem with the left/front caster bar rubbing against the crank pulley and sometimes even tearing the alt. belt off

i think they are made by mad engineering. came with the car. i guess thats why the bar was bent when i bought it. this problem started when i bent the bar straight again. guess ill have to bend it back

It seems like those mounts position the motor too low in the engine bay. You don't really want to be bending those tension rods too much.

think i should replace the left side mount to raise the motor? what brand do you rec. and do they sell just the left side mount

If you are going to change the mounts, I suggest using a complete set instead of using different pieces. Your motor may not sit straight with different mounts.
