It took Rboosted717 250+WHP to hit High 12's in street trim and full weight.
(He's supercharged BTW)

I would guess over 200whp. 230 should be there for sure.
depends on weight too ,. mark brauning in think is like 1600 lbs or something like that and 217 hp at the wheels all motor and he is fast as hell . . . i think like 10's or so off hand

Well, look at my car...

2450 - 2500 w/ driver
208 HP / 152 TQ
13.3 w 2.15 60 ft

Also, the torque is really going to matter.

dont compare marc brauning.
#1, he has a large displacement H motor. that means more torque
#2 that motor is in a tube chassis car
#3 he doesnt use gas

It depends on how you want to go about doing it. If you want to keep the stock redline, it'll take about 250+ hp, if you want to rev up to about 9200 it'll only take about 230 because the area under the curve (or average wheel hp during the course of the run, however you prefer to look at it) is much larger with an extended redline.

drop your car to around 2300 lbs and you'll get 12's with 210whp
drop the ac, drop the seats, drop the spoiler, change the hood,
ect.....

100 LBS = roughly 7 WHP across the board. So you would need 21 more HP everywhere then my car to be as fast. On slicks, I would guess high 12s.

Plus you cant bore a B18C to 1.9L

you can bore to 1.9L
Because technically all you need to "round up" is 35ccs.

Unless something has changed, when I talked to Mark at the middle of the 2000 season, he had just tuned it to 265-ish ....... so he de-tuned last year?

slicks would help.

weight is definitely an issue, when shooting for 12s
