ok 3 quick questions...

first, what do you guys prefer for intake manifolds?
is the skunk2 good for stock engine/some bolt ons? or is it for 'race only'?
any other good IM's?

and throttle bodies....is there any good aftermarket TB's or maybe a TB from a different engine that will get a little better airflow/Power gains?

and what is the stock size for the d16z6 TB?

1) Edelbrock IM
2) Edelbrock Type-R TB or a Integra Type-R, the edelbrock is a 65 mm and the type-r is a 62mm.
3) your throttle body is 56mm

 

a DOHC TB from a type R will fit on my z6? is that a direct bolt on?

so whats up with the skunk 2 then?

y8 intake manifold is supposivly the (type r) for our SOHC's...that's if you're on a budget...the runners are alot larger then the others...but some would argue that the z6 is bout the same too...

The bolt patter for D, B, H tb's is the same. I have a skunk2 im on my z6 and love it, right now i have basic bolt ons.

 

so does the throttle cable and everything else bolt right up to the type-R TB also? thanks

 

I have a Z6 w/ the Skunk2 intake mani and a 62mm BBK throttle body. It rips alot better then the stock for sure.

 

do you have it on stock engine?

The motor is self is stock, but I have some bolt-ons and exhaust.
