Default check engine light comming on when i hit vtec????

94 cx with jdm b18c bla bla bla, anyway vtec is definatly working, i can hear it pop on, it runs great, but when i hit vtec the cel comes on, it still runs ok, but if i turn it off and turn it back on, no cel until i hit vtec again, and no i'm no abusing it, i take it real easy into vtec no wot or anything, then when the cel comes on i slow it down, could it have anything to do with my ghetto rigged wiring, i have wires sticking in the pin holes until i get some real pins, the only ones i have rigged are the vtec pressure swtich, vtec solenoid, and the knock sensor, but i've heard of other people doing it that way with no problem, but i dunno, any ideas?

Well, can you pull a code? Probably has to do with the pressure switch, since it comes on when you hit vtec.

Get it, or another ECU with the right maps chipped not to look for them.

that's definitely an option, but there is no reason you can't get the code. Even if it goes away everytime you start it, it'll still read the code. Either you didn't jump it right, or your ecu is messed up.

The ECU stores a code, even though the CEL goes away. A scanner that plugs into the OBD port should be able to pull it.
