i was wondering cuz it looks like i might be moving out there in about a year and a half for school and i was hoping i could bring out my hatch, but if NO is nething like socal, then im locking my car in a box at home.

There's thieve's everywhere you go. Some place isn't as bad as other's but no matter where you go they're still fucksticks out there. Don't be stupid and not get any theft devices. Go out and get an Auto+lock Pro, 2way paging Alarm, Maybe some cut-off switches, and you can take your ECU out everynight.
ya, i feel ya. i guess the better question to ask though is, is it as bad as socal? ya, i plan on doing kill switches and some other stuff too, so ya. thanks for the replies btw

My aunt lives down there, they are in Kenner which is not far from the university, they have had their house broken into 4 times, their cars stolen at least 5 times (buicks seem to be very popular down there) Crime is pretty bad in New olrleans and I'd guess that a hatch would disappear pretty fast.
They actually had me paranoid about my 93 Accord when I was down there, but nothing happend. But guess it's all in the luck of the draw. but yeah New Orleans is a bad place to live if you want to keep your current car. Not to mention if it rains a lot they tend to flood out, the whole city is below sea level and rlies on huge pumps to keep the water from Filling it in.
But great place to be for Mardi gras, total party town.
