That's good and all, but I think Honda may have missed the boat. By the time those carpoo poo US shores, our friends at Mitsubishi will have the Evo and Subaru will have (so I've heard) the WRX Sti here already.
I love my Rs and I will never get rid of them, but why spend 25-30 K for an additional 20 or 30 horsepower in the RSX-R, when you could pay a little more for a 4WD Evo or Sti that have 270ish hp at the flywheel?
Unless Subaru changes the front end and the Sti gets here sooner, it looks like I am buyin the Evo.
Just my .02 and some of my points are unconfirmed.

Honda is now de-tuning them. Preparing them for the US market....
Why do we have to get the De-Tuned version?

That doesn't make any sense (at least the CTR).
The new Si has THE EXACT suspension of the CTR .... and the main difference is that fact that the CTR has the Type S K20 in it instead of the base one that is in the Si. So bringing it here should be a no brainer. They don't even have to detune it since the K20 from the Type S is already smogged ......
Now for the RSXR, it is a different story .....

Japan has to save something for them selves....

I talked to some Acura guys when I was at the Detroit Auto Show. He said that there will be a RSX-R in about 2-3 years, when ever Type-S sales start to slow. He did not know any details on the car. He also said that they had no plans on bringing the ctr over to our shores.
4 lug and 5 lug have nothing to do with suspension .......
I'll have to find it, but in NUMEROUS publications, they say that the new Si's suspension is the same as the CTR (since they are both made in the English plant).
And unless somethng has changed, the CTR engine was supposed to be the Type S engine ........ guess I need to do some searching when I get into work tomorrow (dial up here at home blows).
