Default OT:SSR Type C's

I have been noticing these rims on alot of Hondas in some of the JDM mags(VTEC Sports, Option 1 and 2). They kind of look like a cross between TE-37's and Advan RG's. I think they come in colors like bronze and white. Anyone have info on these rims.....say like sizes and weight? Thanx

Lloyd,

Here is SSR's website:

http://www.speedstar.co.jp/

Go to "Collection" and select "i" - you will see the Type C appear at the top

Tire Rack carries them. Pretty nice but they only carry certain finishes and sizes. Call them for details. Great value as they are cheaper than either Advans or Volks.

I love my SSR's typeX. They are very strong and very light compare to any similarly priced rims. Too bad that we don't get other colors though (and different sizes).

Lloyd,

If you want the Type C in white or gold, you'll have to get someone like AJR or Mike @ IPS to import them from Japan.

SSR uses Semi Soft Forging to make their wheels...it's cheaper than true forging, and the wheels are almost as strong and light. The Competitions (Type Cs in japan) are really light in a 15, handsome too.

I weighed one of my Azenis (full tread/new) 205/50/15 and it was 22 1/4 lbs.
The 15 x 7.5 SSR type C is supposed to be 10.955 lbs. (according to the pic).
The stock wheel w/worn 205/50/15 intermediate combo weighed in at about 35 1/2 lbs.

What do the 032R in that size weigh?
