sounds like a good deal, a friend of mine spent 5 grand on just a base cx hatch. Do you know who you are buying it from? be sure that the install was done right, but otherwise i would go for it.

Sounds good. Friend picked up an EG hatch with a B18B1, Si wheels and everything else stock for about $4,500. $2,500 for an Si tranny, nicer wheels, suspension, exhaust, alarm, and lesser miles and newer body sounds like a good deal.

People gotta take into consideration that this is a 99 hatch, those still go for around that asking price in Cx trim with considerable mileage. You will have a blast in that car, but highway driving will be kinda a pain in the ***. Change your oil every 2k miles in that car since at 80mph you will be revving around 5500rpm. Other than that, be safe, and have fun

Cx is the lowest trim level, my generation(92-95) came with no AC/PS/PW/PDL or anything like that. Your looking at a Dx, I think the only extra is that it has a rear wiper and airconditioning/power steering.

I live without the rear wiper, hell my fronts dont even work that good. Power steering is useless, I have huge arm muscles now. AC sucks but I just blast around with the windows open, keep that above all

yea i agree i picked up a 2000 dx with a b18c1 with 70k, JR VTEC controller, JR fuel regulator, type R fuel pump, GSR front brake conv., GSR tranny, skunk 2 lowering springs, Greddy evo2 catback, intake, 17" 5zingens, ACT lightweight racing flywheel, all for 7k and he wanted 8k, (not trying to turn you away from the car, hell no!) pick it up but just try to work him down a bit, you will have a blast with it!
