Default Custom Exhaust on 94 SI

Hey, I'm new to these forums. I normally read through PO and HPOA. I have actually been impressed with the quality of some of the posts I have searched here.

Well I did a search for exhaust stuff and I found an interesting post about using a dual 2.5" tip magnaflow muffler on custom piping. I also saw some good stuff about KTeller so I was thinking about ordering from there. I also read some reviews about Megan making a good header for the price on here. Well I figured since the Megan header is cheap I'll order it until something better comes along for H23(Rage header from KTeller). In the mean time I was wondering if my idea for the rest of the exhaust is any good.

Get a 2.25" car sound cat with a 2.25" piping (from KTeller) and a dual 2.5" tip magnaflow muffler.

My questions:
Will I get gains of 10whp or higher by any chance?
How will it sound? Ideally I don't want that low humming sound at idle - instead have a stock sound until I punch it hard... kinda like a CAI.
I someone say this setup should get two resonators, should I do this and if so how long should they be?
Do I need an o2 bung? - If I don't is there anything else I need that wouldn't be included or can I just order the piping, cat, and muffler and have a shop put it on?

Thanks for your suggestions/help!

Well I'm going to reply to your questions only...
- 10whp I highly doubt that unless you have some serious engine work.
- The exhaust should soud good with one resonator, but with two it will be more quiet, downside of that is the flow characteristics of the exhaust will be the sacrafic.
- All you need to get is the Prelude piping kit, cat, and muffler from Kteller.com all the accesories will come with it, for Kteller
- No you don't need a O2 bung, unless you are making custom header.

P.S if your going NA then the piping size you have chosen is good, but if you decide to Turbo later on I would opted for the 3 inch and save yourself the hassle.

I completely agree. I at first was going na and had a 2.25" custom piping with magnaflow resonator and dual outlet muffler. The sound is unbeatable, everybody was very jealous of the mellow sound but real good when I got on it. I would def. recommend it.

2.25 inch piping is a waste of money, thats too small for even B series....

go with the 2.5 inch kit or at least some 60mm (2.38inch) catback.....

its going to be louder at any rpm above idle, there is no way around that....

you might pick up like 5whp at the most, it will just feel a lot better on the butt dyno....

Overall, my H23A1 gained 11.93 hp and 5.56 torque at the wheels from the Megan Racing SS 4-2-1 Header alone. I was really happy with the results. My friends and my brother were all surprised at the gains from the header by itself.

On the butt dyno: The car seems to pull harder now, especially in the low to mid RPM range. It also seems to pull more consistantly all the way through now.

That was posted here: https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=6

Seems that with the header/exhaust/text pipe you can probably get around 10whp from reading that post.

Im with mgags7, you should use 2.5" piping.
