Default Glass Removal questions - CRX 89

I am giving my CRX 89 shape a respray and so therefore am removing all the windows, I have a couple of questions...

1) how can I remove the triangular pieces of tinted glass at the rear of the car? Do they pop off or is there more to it? I notice a vent that I could pop out this may reveal some fixings?

2) How can I remove the two rear side windows? Am I able to re use the seals or is it best to cut them out and buy new seals?

I have looked in my haynes manual and it doesnt explain this as it is for a Civic/CRX 88-91 and they seem to concentrate more on the civic.

Thanks in advance

The 2 rear tinted black pieces on the back are held in by clips. They can be popped off but the clips usually break as they get brittle when old. The rear quarter glasses are glued in with urethane. I would but new seals as the old ones are probably dried out and cracked?

You can buy a glass cutting knife at a good parts store. The knife long handled and pretty flat. You basically just take out the upper quarter trim pieces and cut the urethane from inside the car. Once most of the irethane is cut/sliced you should have a friend on the outside and you push the glass outwards.

The glass has now been removed

i believe that goes the same as the rear quarter windows you took out, except the urethane is a little harder to get to.

It is hard to get to, I cannot even see the seal on the inside, I may have to cut it out from the outside. I'll try this tonight if I get a minute

Thanks for your help

I treid and failed, it doesnt wanna budge. I loosened 2 nuts at the bottom of the glass hoping they would loosen things up a little tapped the threads with a rubber mallet but no luck. I basically need a craft knife with a long handle it seems.

Does anyone have any ideas? Just to clarify this is the rear piece of glass tinted with the honda logo etched in.

Thanks

Are you talking about the pice of glass that is on the back part of the hatch between the 2 triangle pieces of glass? If so, the Helms 88 CRX manual has the removal instructions for it on pages 398 and 399. I'd link it but I can't find a good link that works. Can anyone help out?

This is the only site I could find the manual at...
Go to http://www.crxpower.net, then click on the "Import Discussion Board" in the General Forums section and then click on the 3rd link down... "Sticky: Service Manuals - CRX / Civic / Integra".

It's a downloadable PDF and remember to look on pages 398 and 399

Hope this helps.
