Default Wastegate vaccum question.. I searched already

I don’t mean to sound stupid but what would the outcome be if you routed your wastegate to the turbo as well as post throttle body. I am asking because I want some expert advice on this. I am not going to try it , on my car but I want to know what is the possible outcome….

In this example I'm using a wastegate with a 10psi psi spring. if you use a port on the intake manifold for your wastegate source, the wastegate will open when 10 psi in the engine. If you use the post on the turbo compressor, the wastegate will open when the compressor is putting out 10 psi. The only bad thing about using the compressor as a source is that even though the wastegate opens at 10psi, the boost still have to go through the intercooler and make its way to the intake manifold. so your going to have some boost lose depending on how efficient your intercooler is. Even though your putting out 10psi at the compressor, by the time it gets to the intake maifold you probably pushing like 5 or 6psi(rought numbers to give you an idea). Make sense. I hope this is what you were looking for.

I think he means what would happen if you ran a pressure line from both sources to the same target. i.e. compressor/intake teed somewhere and then one common line from there to the wastegate. The answer is that the pressure would equalize at some point and then actuate the wastegate diaphragm. I bet there wouldn't be much difference between that setup and just running the manifold-only setup. I think the best bet is to choose one, or the other.
