Practice and Qualifying will still be on Speed, but this week starts CBS in your area showing the few F1 GP's they will be broadcasting this season.

So if you bitch you don't have Speed and always miss the races, here's your heads up.

Oh Gawd. this is gonna be awful. They better not break for commercials every 5 minutes., and hopefully they know what they are talking about.

Anyways. nice to give everyone coverage. I just hope they do a decent jorb.

I'm wondering who will announce for CBS... should be a bit of a let down from SPEED coverage (which I like), but at least it is on TV...

I fully expect messed up names. Like the announcer at IMS at the USGP, "here comes... gian...carrr...lo... fishhh...ih...shelll.lllllaaaaa" Imagine them trying to pronouce Narain's (Indian Midland F1 driver) last name, huhu.

I'm sure they'll talk about ferrari too much, and MS even if he's at the back of the pack.

:thumbup; to being on tv for sure.... here's hoping for the best (coverage wise)

The commentators will be Derek Daly (not bad) and Ralph Sheehan ( :dunno: )

It won't. CBS will not have a crew at Imola. They're receiving the world feed, which is not in HD.

I think that it is awesome that they are putting it on a major channel, maybe it will gain some popularity here in the states becuase of it.

I am sure that the announcers will be quite lame due to their lack of experience dealing specifically with F1.

Still, should be interesting. Schumi will probably dominate again...

Haven't too much on TV anyway. I don't have my new issue of F1 Racing yet, but in that issue they said that Ferrari was way ahead of everyone as far as development went for this year.

I think that the beginning of the year will be different than the middle and the end. THey allow all the cars to run partial setups from the prior year for the first few races at the beginning of every season before the full rules take effect...so we will see what happens.

Tires, tires tires. I'm not sure bridgestone could catch up to Michellin in terms of tire performance over the long haul in only a few weeks.. but you never konw for sure..
