yeah im curious, whats the top speed of a b18? a list of most of them would be nice... i like my zc but 120 is so slow..... im looking for a good top speed but still have good exceleration???

 

what model b18? what tranny? what size tires? wind? etc....

point being, there are too many variables to give a solid number

Those two words dont go together if you're looking for a long distance top speed run.

Going top speed on public streets will get you or some innocent bystander killed.

Just listening to the windnoise on these things should tell you 150 is a big no no. I got my 96 Integra LS (B18B, manual) up to 120 on a gradual downhill. Took a bit of distance.

Over in the UK we do top speed runs as part of our RWUB meets.

Its done from a standing start to 1.25 miles at which your speed is taken.

Click me Thats me doing a top speed run with a b16 inc a few bolt-ons + a 35hp shot of nitrous. Thats 8400rpm in 5th with a Y1 JDM tranny

fastest I ever went was 128mph in a b16 could of went more, had to slow down cause it was to dangerous, (on a major interstate at like 3am) wasnt worth going any faster plus my girlfriend was doing the bitching thing,

I wonder what my hatch will do once i drop the k-motor in it hehe.My rsx did 152 with just an intake maxing out 5th i still got 6th to go Maybe 170+ in the tin can lol dont plan on taking it pass 125 on public roads

 

My clutch wont hold on a top speed run. Soon as the needle hits around 138 you smell clutch like you smell my *** after taco bell. I have a private road I can use so its all good.

I'm using a 7 point Cusco cage, FIA seat/belts & helmet etc but its gona a fun ride

Stock Euro non- vtec dohc will do 220km/h (136mph). I've sawn few stock vtecs hit 235km/h (146mph).

haha b16's are nothing compared to a DOHC ZC!! i have a 88 crx si with same year ZC motor and matching tranny. i have done 140 with only i/h/e and still 1500 rpms to go in fifth but it stopped pulling hard and i wasted like 50 miles worth of gas in that like 45 second period. anyway, handling was good with my 16x7 inch rims and i was switching lanes and all that nonsense and it was stable enough. we had the sunroof and windows down and it was just a great day all around. that was the first time i ever gone that fast and i wanted to test out the limits of my car

 

i have an 88 dx with a b18a and ls tranny i used a gps on mine once. the car was having issues at the time, but i got 135mph on hx wheels

 

ive got a d15 with i/h/e/ rods and pistons and i can hit 140

yeah i got a dohc zc also. dont even know what tranny i have... maybe i should find out. i do know its a high performance one though... i top it a bit after 120 and dont want to run it much harder cause i dnot want to blow my engine or anything... i dont mean im gonna go do 150 down my street lol. i have the california speed way 2 blocks away ill o there hehe
