those str tb's will bolt up just fine, only thing you might need to modify is the tb gasket.

Why do you want a bigger throttle body?

What's wrong with the factory throttle body? The turbo is creating positive pressure.. the intake manifold sees the same amount of pressure as the piping before the TB. These aren't naturally aspirated cars...

cotney made 800whp on stock tb. If you do get a tb STR is no longer around, its now http://www.bdlind.com (BDL).

Well it adds an additional item to your mod list...

And cars with bored out TBs etc seem to have lots of idle problems and stuff... so it can "do ****"... just not anything beneficial. Just one more thing that can break / mess up.

but what if you have a big intake manifold like the victor X you'd need a larger mm tb to fit it properly correct ? it wouldn't be smart to use an oem gsr on a victor X, or am i wrong by saying that

There's no reason to go any larger than your charge pipe diameter.

Did a test of that on a civic, with an edelbrock turbo kit. The charge pipe diameter is about the same as the stock 56mm of the civic throttle body. Putting on a 62mm throttle body did nothing to the power output.

make the bore of the throttle opening slightly larger so the butterfly can open through it

U also have to think how big your intercooler piping is, because thats will you will lose power going from a 2.25in pipe to 70mm which i think is like 2.5in maybie a little more?

i ported matched my aebs intake manifold and put a str(70) to it, the throttle responce was nicer and i gained like 5hp but thats on stock block b16 turbo.
