There is a valet/override switch somewhere. If you have the manual it tells you how to do it. If not somebody had the same problem today and they had the manual so maybe you can search and find the person.

no no no, do this.
in your fuse panel under the dash, there are two purple fuses that are like three amps. They may be different colors but they are VERY low amperage compared to the other fuses.
Pull these out and you can open the door with the key and drive it even. This disables your security system.
I lost my transponder once too.....very bad situation. I was very far from home.
Once you get home, find another transponder and set it up to make your car work. Egay has transponders if you need another one.

Where is this famous "ground" becuz i never found it on my civic?? This happened to me a while back and I couldnt find it... and the fuse thing is true but i forget the name of the fuse(s) you need to pull... was it the one that says keyless entry?? they are under the dash i remember though... hmm im not sure....
Its wherever the installer put it. When I bought my Civic the ground was tapped right into the small piece of metal that goes across the bottom of the plastic piece. There is a good chance yours is not there.
