Default ABS Brake Rotors vs. NON-ABS Brake Rotors

Is there any differnce in the brake rotors except for the size??? Is it possible to put and ABS Rotor on a NON-ABS Car.
Reason asking:
Tenzo R only makes the big brake kit for a ABS civic. Some help please. Thanks

i believe its just the size... the abs si has larger rotors than the non abs si, ex, ect... so when they say abs civic i believe they are talkin size

Just so you know the 99-00 NEVER had an option for ABS. The EX 96-00 Ex did, but the 6th gen Si NEVER did.

As far as the question goes, I'm not sure. Bump for an answer.

there's always a reason why there are different parts...if the rotor isn't meant to be on a NON abs vehicle...chances are it won't fit. Also you may run into fitment problems too and premature pad wear. Piston might not go back all the way to fit the thickness, pads might be too tight on rotor...might not fit at all

Just get what's for your vehicle and setup

That's funny, cause http://www.slhonda.com has nothing under "brake lines (ABS)" for the Si, and my helms has nothing about it having ABS.

Indeed. There is an option for ABS unit on the 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si but once you click on it, there is nothing under that criteria.

i think if you get it straight from the dealer or something it wouldn't matter, but aftermarket might be different...

Anyone know the difference between part numbers for a 98 civic ex with abs vs. non-abs?
45251-scc-900 vs. 45251-s5d-a10? I thought both were 10.3" rotors and there were no differences. I'm trying to upgrade front knuckles on my 98 civic dx and can't get a clear answer from any dealership, its the same questions... whats the vin? Me: I don't have one its not an original part on my car, can you just check the shelves and help me tell if one whats the difference in dimensions, Dealership: Well, whats the first letter of the vin? Me: I don't know, can't you just check the parts and tell me what you see? Dealership: we don't actually stock parts for cars that old. Thanks, honda lovers
