zc motors swap

Default zc motors swap

what i wanted to know is if i could swap a dohc 1.6 zc motor in my 95 civic dx i know it will bolt in but do i have to change my ecu and wiring harness. or would it be better to get a d16z6.

1) your car is obd1 and the zc is obd0
2) http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/specs.htm
3) yes you have to at least chip the ECU or replace it and mod the wiring harness.
4) the z6 i believe has more potential but not 100%

You dont have to do any OBD0 to OBD1 wiring at all! ZC motor also came in 92 up civics and some Integras in japan. There are DOHC OBD1 ZC motors out there but they are hard to find. Hondaswap.com has more information on it check "swap articles"
