Default mismatched INJ #2 and #3 FIXED by changing the #2 and #3 firing order

Is this okay? Or should I cut up the INJ harness and wiring it up right?

um...unless you want to remake the crank to adjust for a little wiring problem, i'd suggest you fix the wiring.

Well basically starting at the (A) being #1. if your facing the dizzy the firing order should be #1, #2, #4, #3 COUNTER CLOCK WISE correct?

Because the car wouldn't start w/ that firing order

I pulled the injectors and after a couple of starts it looked like the injectors where firing in this order #1 #3 #4 #2

So in order to compensate for that i switched ( on the dizzy ) #2 and #2 so now if your facing the dizzy and start off at the (A) #1 COUNTER CLOCK WISE #2, #4 #3 . .

In this order the Car started right up and idles fine. So your saying that i SHOULDN'T run the car like this? And fix the inj's wires? Thank you for taking the time out to view this and help me out

How exactly did you switch the distributor? If the car is running right, then I think you should leave it... there is only one firing order without doing some pretty major mods.

yes i know that there is one specific firing order, but this is because the injectors are firing in that same order. . right?

Before i had the firing order the way it's in the helms manual . Now i have (on the distributor) #2 and #3 swapped and it started like that. I can only attribute that to the injector wiring being mis matchedd ( inj #2 and #3 ) . .

By all means if i am wrong or not making any sense please let me know. Again thanks for viewing and helping me out

If it works, then it works. From what you posted, it sounded like you hadn't started it up yet. If it wasnt going to work, either the motor wouldnt start up at all or itd run like complete crap.

i started it up w/ #3 and #2 being changed at the dizzy and it started right up and runs like it should. but my consern is ... Could this be a INJ wiring problem? Could INJ #3 and #2 be switched causing the injectors to wrong..?

Bleh.. I am going to go outside now and pull 3 of the 4 plugs and see if get a reading at the ecu to the plug that i left attached. Do that for all 4 plugs and then wire it up the way it should be ( the way its in the helms )

hm!!.. i just thought about this.

today i had to take the dizzy completely apart to convert it over to INTERNAL coil. I had to take the pin out from teh back the dizzy.. Is there a chance that when i put the rear end piece (part that hooks up to the cam) that it's on 180 degress the wrong way? Could this cause the firing order to change?
