went and test drove bikes today and
well today i went and test drove soem bikes and well i had bever sat ona cbr before. I found it terribly uncomfortable and they had suzukis (sp?) and well they were very comfortable. then went to the yamaha dealership didnt mind those but has anyoneelse had the similar thought. i mean it hurt the jones just sitting ther in the show room.
I wanna live where you live. I cant believe they let you test drive bikes.
Youve got to ask yourself what you want out of your bike. I have a 600rr and the seat is a little uncomfortable but it is simply amazing in the twisties and you dont notice the seat because you are constantly transitioning from side to side. Plus a 150dollar corbin seat totally fixed the problem(atleast for your ***)

Those bikes are not designed to be 'comfy' on long straights, over bumps, or being sat on while in a showroom floor.
They are purpose built machines.

Doesn't raise it. A lot of people think it does, but it's actually the wider seat that gives that impression. You're sitting at an ever so slightly wider stance, so your feet are a little farther from the ground.
If you want, you can do what I did and request a 'nose job' to make the seat a little narrower.
