Default how to ID tranny?

I have a jdm b16a and supposedly its a type r tranny. Where do i find ID marks or casting numbers that would tell me what it is? Im not sure if it has a LSD or not. I guess maybe i could go do some burnouts real quick. Any advice?

look through the trans case where the axles go, if you can see straight through without seeing a metal rod going across, than you have an LSD trans. To tell if it is a type r, if it is jdm I believe it will have S80 stamped on it on the front, if it is usdm, it should say S4C.
