Default Anyone got a non chipped ecu i could borrow in the milwaukee area?

Failed emissions and it looks like it might be the ecu, any ideas? The one i got with the motor (b16) was crap. I found one on e-bay and got it only to find out it had been chipped... no problem untill now. the NO is to high, it is at 18 grams per mile an i think it should be around 8 or 9 at max. It is also running too rich. The dynometer read it at 10-15% rich during the test, i did put new o2 sensors in and that did bring the levels down 50%.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

sorry, that should be the HC is way too high, it is at 2.1 grams/mile and it should be at .8. Any help would be awsome.

is it socketed or is there just a new chip soldered in? cause if its socketed you could probably get somebody with a chip burner to just burn you a new stock rom.. that is typical of ebay chips though, they think just giving the engine more fuel and deleting the rev limiter makes everything better. try to find a speed shop in your area that does tuning.. most good shops will have a rom burner on hand for stuff like that.

Lol, yeah... in milwaukee, racine, kenosha, washington, ad waukesha counties... maybe a few more. All cars need emissions every 2 years. Odd year cars on even number years and even year cars on odd number years... don't ask me what the logic is behind that.

Emissions suck!

What catalytic converter are you using? The same old one that came on the car 17 years ago?

no, it's about 2 years old... i think it is still good... i was running straight pipe for the last year, i just threw it back on for emissions.
