Coolant Leak...Where?
ok with my old d15b7 motor i had an existing coolant leak from the radiator itself...would have to refill maybe every week.
Just swapped in jdm d15b and now by the end of the day it's overheating and there's coolant all over the passenger side of the engine bay...and i can't find where it's coming from.
couple pics for reference -
these hoses had a small ring of coolant sitting:

picture of what the coolant is getting all over:

any help?

The first 2 hoses in the first pic are trans coolant lines, antifreeze does not run threw them.
I would say start the car, let pressure build up and look around for the leak

ok, i filled the coolant back up and started the car and let it warm up...(radiator fan never kicked in)

that's the hose going directly to the front of the motor, it looks to be clamped on all the way but it's still dripping, and leaving quite a small neat little puddle on the ground. could the hose just be bad? should i replace it?

if its a small spray, you have a small crack or puncture. they do that i guess cuz of wokring on them or motor flex. when ur car heats up and gets pressure, start bending the hoses around in the area of the leak and you should be able to find it. My cars done this PLENTY of times

Word, that's about the easiest hose to replace on the whole engine... and it only costs a few bucks!
I just replaced all my hoses when I changed my head gasket, a few of them were looking old and worn... some times it's hard to see a pinhole in the hose, so just replace it and call it a day...

yeah i drove the car around a bit and when i got back home, popped the hood...car was warmed up but not too hot and the hose was spraying out small bits of coolant every few seconds...so i'm sure that's where the massive leak is coming from once it gets really hot.
so i'll replace that hose, and i have a new radiator on the way
stupid question time though, when i loosen the screw to bleed the coolant, is there visible signs to look for...will there be air bubbles or something? or just loosen it and let it sit for a few seconds and then tighten? thanks.

Looks like a worn out old original clamp to me ? Get bolt clamps. To bleed check for no bubbles. Use a long funnel if you can so that the fill level going in is higher than any other point of the cooling system...e.g. manifold sensors etc.

To bleed the coolant. open up the bleeder and what until there is coolant flowing out of it with no bubbles. Good steady stream of coolant will start to flow out. Tighten bleeder up! Refill coolant reserve and radiator! Go to go!
