how many people road race a turbo integra
im thinkiong about racing my integra ls which is turboed but i was wondering how many people on this board does it and how do you like it compared to a all motor car. thanx for the help. i would like to race it on tracks like limerock and vir and a few auto-x events in longisland ny. thanx alot
Take the Turbo out, probably be the best bet espcially if you going to Road Race it, There are a few people on here that run HC H4 and do well.
nobody road races a turbo integra because there's no class with any sanctioning body to race it in
if you just want to drive it on a track, you can do that. see the sticky at the top of this forum for how

Well there is SPO in SCCA if he wants to start dumping money into complying with their safety reguirements such as fuel cell and full GT/prod. cage and fire suppression system. $$$$$$$

i'm surprised nobody has said this yet, but you need to have a license to race on a racetrack. before that you'll have to do educational events, in which you'll realize having a turbo is dumb, and you'll go all-motor
in autocross you'll be classed in street-mod with all sorts of cars with swapped motors and high levels of preparation. a turbo'd gs-r is not going to be competitive anywhere.
good luck!

You used the word "race" in your post which has everyone here thinking about rules and classes and the (low) number of actual turbo Hondas that ever touch ground anywhere outside of a drag strip. If you would merely like to "drive" or "open track" your car at a road racing facility such as Limerock or VIR, things get much easier. Read the FAQ at the top of this forum and there should be plenty of info to get you out on the track turning laps and (hopefully) having fun.
LOL
You can race a turbo Integra up here in Ontario, Canada. But you would be running up against twin turbo Vettes, 911's and even the odd BTCC (sequential, straight cut gear boxes give me a chub
) In other words, you would be handed your *** to you through your blow off valve.

you can race it with emra (emraracing.org) and time trial with them also. there are one or 2 turbo hondas that run with us, one i know is not being run anymore due to reliablity issues. I helped with the car, it was a awsome setup but couldent hold up to running on a road course
