95 civic with d16y7 problem
I recently swapped in a d16y7 to replace my d15b8. I did a compression test on the engine. The numbers were from cylinders 1-4 as follows-171,169,168,170. I'm burning oil and I don't know where it is going. The valves are out of adjustment a little bit. I starts to overheat whenever I sit at idle for a while. The cooling fans are cutting on and the thermostat opens. The idle sometimes fluctuates. The front and rear main seals are new. I'm not burning coolant. I pulled the pcv valve and I smell fuel on it and there is some oil in it. Is it a head gasket? It has lost a lot of power compared to when I first swapped. What is the FP supposed to be set at? It smokes white on the throttle. It's not boosted yet, but I plan on that route as soon as I can fix this problem.
