Going to a garage and getting an alignment. You don't need a kit unless you're dumped; and you'd still get bad tire wear if you put on a kit and don't have it aligned.

if you went to the shop to get an alignment, they prob. adjusted your toe. It goes out of wack when u lower the car, also so does the camber, both will eat up your tires, and your tire wear should be the same, once you get your car aligned, that is if both tires are in the same condition.

So do you have camber or uneven tire wear? Camber isn't a bad thing, I have so much you can see it, and my tires are fine. Look at any M3, 5 series and even some VW and MBs, they've got visible camber.

If you got it alinged, and you're still getting uneven tire wear, take it back to the shop and have them print out the specs. Your toe should be set to 0. There is a big difference between toe that's 'in spec' and 0 toe. 'In spec' toe could be at the two opposite limits creating uneven wear.

The shop that gave you an alignment should be able to give you a before/after graph of your alignment. Ensure that toe and caster is good before assuming it's the camber (as it could save you some money for now).

I have had an Ingalls Camber kit for the last 3 years, and I've never installed it. It's still new in the box. I get even tire wear, and haven't had any alignment issues. I've had it aligned, and they were able to get the toe w/in spec I guess b/c the car tracks straight & the tires are even all teh way across. This is w/ Neuspeed Race springs + Tokico shocks, so I'm lowered 2".

Camber and caster are not adjustable on civics; only toe. If your caster is off, you've probably bent something.
