Pictures from Road America Race
I was at Road America the weekend before for my first race of the season. Weather turned out to be perfect, unlike the Mid-Ohio race that took place just a week before with 3" of snow (thank God I didn't go). lanceh, sackdz, and J'son mah bitch went with me, and we met Chris F and his wife there. We also had couple visitors that made the event even more fun (ie. Dbl Ey!, Beth#1 the vampire, etc.).
My car ran perfectly during Saturday race, but not so good during qualifying and other sessions that the CEL kept going off. It threw a TPS code and it would mysteriously go on and off throughout the day.
Cosmetically, the car is in perfect shape after being fixed over the winter by our Team Toilet fellow Steve. The left side was repainted (great paint matching) but the decals didn't come in in time. So as you could see in the pics, the left side looks very naked.
There weren't that many race entries so they decided to group the Big Bore and Small Bore cars together. At a track like Road America, there's no doubt that we poor Small Bore cars got walked all over by the AI's & AIX's. On Saturday, I held my own and led the Small Bore pack, finished right behind the Big Bore guys. On Sunday, I found a crack in the brake rotor prior to the race, plus the CEL came on after I spun, I just cruised around to finish for points.
Picture time.
Car all loaded ready to go, waiting for the TT crew to arrive from MI. Here you can see the "naked side":

Charlie from Top Setup got me a new TPS. It's installed, calibrated, but now seems like something else is wrong with the computer.
Shouldn't be a big deal, hopefully it would be fixed before Expo.

What size tires are you running the front? 225? Are the fenders rolled? Any rubbing?</TD></TR></TABLE>
It's 225/45-15 Avon tires. They are awesome btw.
I used to run 225/50-15 Toyo RA1 on my street/track R. Fenders were not rolled, wheels were at 35mm offset, and with -4 degree of camber and I didn't have rubbing issues. But the front spring rates were pretty high tho.

Don't blame AA, he didn't even show up until Sunday afternoon anyway!

I wonder how much he'd charge to slap on a quarter panel sized vinyl sticker. It wouldn't even be advertising really. It'll just be a picture of the "Shocker".
