Default Pistons skirts scarred. Are these salvage able?

I just took my motor apart last night. Cylinder walls and pistons are scarred.
Before taking the motor apart, I was planning to sell these to go to a higher CR.
But now I am unsure if thats possible.

There are the worst two. Intake sides of cylinder 2 & 3.

You can't really feel the marks. I am going to try and take some brighter & clearer photos later tonight.

Any intial thoughts if these are reusable/sellable?
Endyn Rollerwave Crvtec 84.5mm roughly 9.2:1 in the motor setup.

guessing thats from clearances that were too tight and piston expansion?

Someone knowledgable chime in here

The piston to wall clearence was fine I think. When GE did the sleeving, they bored it with the pistons there and with spec sheet from Endyn. I think I F'd up on the rings and they are what caused the scarring.

I was tearing this down to rebuild it cause I wasn't sure on it, its the first motor I've built, but I didn't expect to find that. Oh well. 85mm next

leanning out will cause that. the extra heat will make the pistons expand more then the clearance will allow.

I wouldn't think you can sell them because who wants to put a motor together with used pistons...? but if you can find someone then great

I've known a few people to do that, because price difference or better than OEM during a rebuild etc.

Get the Skirts Coated...and then reuse them. It will build back up the clearance...

Damn. I never thought of that. Thanks for the info.

I was planning to remove these and go to a much higher CR.

Anyone interested in these?
