How many track miles for yout ITR?
I'm just courious how many miles do ITR owners run on a track per one year? I'm planning to run about 400miles (600km) this year and I hope my stock R can stand it. It takes about 0.3 litre of oil per 30min session on a track and I have no other problems.
400 miles = no problem what so ever.
In one year I have and/or could put at least 2500 track miles on my car. I have done that for about 3 years in a row.
Here is Ken's post about 500+ miles in one weekend.

I woould not worry about it, just take care of her.
2500 +/- a year with out any big troubles.
Just remember this: if your car is running good and you want to drive it home, skip that last session of that day. I speak from lots of expirence on the subject.

I can run on our local track every Wednesday, but only one 30min session, the rest of the day is only for bikers
. At least my track is only 15 minutes from my home

I instruct in 10-12 events per year, but in half of them, I don't drive a lot of miles (i.e. under 100). During 2000-2004 I averaged a total of 1,350 track miles per year. My average will probably go up this year, since I drove 765 track miles in the past two weekends alone.
I currently have 3,733 track miles on my ITR now, having just started the fifth year tracking the car. I also have 9,896 track miles on my other car, which is in its fifteenth year of tracking.
Most of the track events I attend offer students around 3 hours of track time spread over a two-day weekend, and students drive 150-200 track miles during that time. Instructors usually get less time than the students on Saturday-Sunday, but have an open lapping day on Friday. Thus typical track miles for a weekend are 150-200 for students, and as many as 200-300 for instructors.
Anyone who is driving 2500+ track miles in a year is spending a lot of weekends doing so. As long as you keep replacing brake pads, tires, and rotors, the car can handle it; whether your schedule and finances permit that many track miles may be a different story.
