It also depends on how far you drop it. I'm dropped about 2-2.25" in the front with 16" Rotas and I don't rub unless I'm cornering and hit a decent size bump. Or when I turn the wheel all the way, it rubs oh so slightly. 225/45/17's won't rub the upper fender well if it's not lowered, but always take into consideration when you're turning the wheels. I'm running 205/45/16 (16x7's) so there's a decent chance it'll rub the inner fender well when you turn, almost guarenteed when you lower it. Even with 1.25-1.5" for the Eibach's, 17's will be pushing it.

It will probably rub when you turn the wheels
I would probably go w/ 205/40R17

I would suggest getting 15's and slamming it . 17's is a little too much, but that is just me.

I think they rub when you turn like stated previously. Since you already have 17's just use 205/40/17.

Ive got 205/40 r17 and about a 2 inch drop and they kept hitting the splash guards but i took them out and it is fine now except for some reason turned all the way in reverse it will scrub the front bumper. Its a tight fit. Looks good though.

i am running 225/45/17 tires on 17x8 riax rims. the car is lowered 2.25 inches. i rub alot around sharp turns and on big bumps even if i am going straight. its okay because the car handles great and i guess there are always pros and cons to every modification. plus it looks good.

Ha ha, handles Great with that tire rubbing all the time? BS I got 17's too, and when you corner hard and they rub it quickly turns into a crappy handling scary driving machine. Max grip went up, but handling dropped a lot.
