Default coilover hell

well, struts and coilovers came in today, so as i attempted to install them, i was taking the back struts out and the bolts snapped. so i had to remove the lower control arms to get the struts out and ofcourse where the bolt holes are for the struts in the lower control arms the bushings where bad and basically fell apart. can i just replace these bushings instead of the whole control arm?

Just look for used GSR lower control arms. Actually any integra arms will work, assuming you have an EG of course.

This way you will be able to swap in a nice swaybar in the back too. Pressing in new bushings would be a pita.

They are pressed in and can be replaced. You can get new ones from Honda for around $50. You can get used ones if the bushings look good. Whatever you get, make sure they have the extra holes for the swaybar.

The bushings are about 12ea bucks at a supply store. But you would do good to get a hydraulic press to install them. If you can score some GSR LCAs that would be nice too.

i got new control arms ( alluminum ones ) and its all on. took my car around the block to see if it would rub, and when i take sharp corners i think it rubs alittle in the front so ill prob raise it a half inch or so in the front. im taking it for alignment tomorrow, after it is aligned, can i adjust the coilovers without throwing the alignment off? or should i adjust them before taking it for alignment?

by the way.. heres the aftermath after 3 days of hell

Adjust them before. Changing the height will screw up the alignment. Mostly the camber though. Toe is more of a big wearing factor than camber, but just set it to what you want to have normally and get it aligned. Find a way to mark that spot and then when you want/need to change it you can and then put it back.

Yea, when you change ride height, toe will change as well. Like SOHC4life 96 said, set it where you want the height and take it in to be aligned.

Car looks damn good w/ the suspension though
