What class is the WRX Wagon in?
It's in DS and ESP along with the sedan. I'd suspect it's very close with the sedan. The front track is a little narrower, the rear swaybar is 18mm vs. the 20mm for the sedan. It also carries 80 more pounds, I suppose at the rear because of the roof. The wagon has softer springs. Everything else is the same between the two. Some felt the wagon rotated more. I've test drove the wagon and then bought my sedan, really I didn't feel there was much difference between the two. The wagon seemed to roll more, but both rotate pretty well. My impression is that they're pretty close, so I'd expect it to do nearly as well or equal to the sedan. Both would really like shocks, and apparently Koni now makes an insert that can fit with a little trimming. Hope that helps!

Actually, when I was out in Wendover for the ProSolo last year, Larry Fine was there with his WRX sedan, and some local dude had a wagon. They both weighed their cars during a break in impound, and the difference was only 40 pounds. I was shocked.

I was a bit two. I chatted with my salesperson about it. He pointed out that the wagon is basically the same as the sedan except the roof just doesn't go down. So it's a bit of extra metal, and apparently not much more. Wow, 40 pounds... Oh well. I have a hard enough time convincing my friends that my 4 door is quick, let alone trying to tell them I bought a wagon to use as a racecar.
Glenn, I had a pretty hard time digging up a car to drive. Call Pence and Subaru of Richmond @ Moore Cadillac to make sure they have a car on the lot for you to drive. Eventually I found a wagon at SoR and they let me take it out alone with the requirements of "don't stay out all afternoon, we have someone else coming to drive it too". A surprising vote of confidence considering that my 19 year old self pulled up in an Integra with SCCA stickers all over it and a yellow rollbar. Anyhow, if you have any other specific questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them, so PM me if any come up.

Still trying to figure out how maxQ got one.
Yeah, MaxQ hasn't had people throwing Vette keys at him for the same reason CamaroFS34 has. At least... I hope not.
BTW... Yes, the stock tires on the WRX suck as badly as you have probably noticed. They're really not very good at anything I've used them for. I have been told they are dynamite on dirt, but they overheat quickly on pavement and lose any semblance of grip they had, wear quickly, aren't very sticky in dry conditions, and aren't all that super in rain either. You might want to factor in the cost of some sort of decent tires right off the bat, whether that be r-compounds or some decent streets. I've had a few people down here comment that they've been able to watch the sidewalls flex upon delivering a steering input on the autox course.

oh oh oh... i get it now.
This has been discussed before. It's the same reason that guy she had never met let her drive his Corvette at the JMU autocross.

Glenn, how's the WRX?

Chris, who's always thought it would be tite to have a car that can carry on a conversation with him instead of the voices in his head.
I like it!! I think I'm closing the deal tonight.
*goes to count the collection of pocket change in my Boeing cup*
Word, you did NOT just diss Knight Rider.
I would NEVER diss ANY show that stars a German elevator music star who drives a Dixie Dodge Charger painted black...
"Here's your hairpiece Mr. Hasselhoff... Oh! Sorry, that's an SOS pad... my mistake."

Though the turbo button or whatever that causes liftoff would be cool. "Cones? what cones?! they are all below me!"That thing was a Dodge? Whoa. I thought it was an F-body. Learn something new every day!
Glenn, LOL... another one to the darkside! have fun, check out I-Club, chat with RW, follow the thousand mile break-in, and oh yeah... the hot autocross alignment for this car makes nearly no sense. It's pretty amusing but it actually does work.
~Chris, who thinks "Powered by Hasselhoff" would make a pretty tizzite sticker or something.
I just put 17" wheels and street tires on my wrx, but I dont have any other mods, what class will I be running for the feb 10 autoX?

) doesn't start until after the winter series.
