HOW MUCH POWER WILL THE STOCK B18C SLEEVES HOLD?
JUST CURIOUS TO ANYONE THAT HAS MADE NICE #'S ON THE STOCK SLEEVES. WHAT IS MOST THAT I WOULD BE SAFE DOING? I WOULD OF COURSE GET LOWER COMPRESSION AND NEW RODS AND BOLTS ECT... BUT WHAT CAN THE SLEEVES THEMSELVES HANDLE SAFLY.
I WANT TO MAKE 350-375 WHP, IS THIS TOO MUCH?
THANKS

stock b18 series sleeves are good for around 400-500hp...depends how crazy you want to get. I have seen one car with 525+ still runningon stock sleeves. Under 400 no problem. Up to 450 I would be careful after that go ahead and sleeve it
Yes - it can hold 400, 500, more. . . sometimes, but almost always only for a period of time.
I'm sure that HTJohnny will pop up in here with his/her claims of running a 400, 500 hp stock sleeved motor for over a year. . . yada yada.
Just ask yourself how long it's going to take you to fix it if it blows up. I just don't want to see a fellow honda guy walking to work.
But yeah - it's been done, it'll be done again.
Good luck with things

to get 200whp NA you need some pretty high compression, or some crazy *** headwork......and then to spray a 200 shot...i d k about that....

b18b general rule 400whp b18c general rule 500whp. im making 300 right now bone stock, and going in for tuning tomorrow gonna bump it up a bit with my new map and new injectors.

This was just a comment on the thread; doesn't appear to be an inquiry or search related.
But 450 whp is the general concensus of how much they can take; I am not pushing mine past 400whp until I get my block sleeved since this is my DD.
