Default Rough Idle ZC

I just got done searching and can't find out a damn thing so I'll ask. On saturday I took my car out for a little run and it was running fine. By the next morning I went to start the car and it was sputtering. I've got a brand new MSD Blaster 2 Coil so I'm not so much concerned with the coil being bad. I checked the plugs and they looked a little black, the wires are also new along with the cap. I tried seafoam and that didnt do a thing for me. I have a DOHC ZC by the way and I'm not sure the problem is? I want to run a compression test when I get a chance but I'm lead to believe that it could be the distributor based on the fact that I had a slight miss before saturday and it has gotten worse, there is only about 4000 miles on the engine since i got it so I'm hoping its something easily replaceable.

Most the time on the dohc zc the problem is the CAS it is on the end of the exhaulst cam in front of the dizzy but check your time and all the to be sure

I thought zc had more of the same problems the B16a1 had with the dizzy's crapping out on them. Never thought the CAS would cause any kind of problem like that.

I'm also posted on there, I have the same name on ZCR that i have here. Just did a compression check and it turned out prttey good cause I've got 200s across the board so I'm still suspecting the distributor.

If you happen to have a multimeter on hand, check your TPS. Are you using your charcoal canister or did you bypass and junk it when youd did your swap? - Darrell

I don't see how the TPS would affect the idle at all. Yes I'm using the charcoal canister still because I have state inspections for my PA registration.

The TPS can cause alot of idle problems and not throw a code, but it wouldnt cause a miss. Did you check the screw on the rotor inside the dizzy?
