brakes????pleasse help
ok i had all stock pads and rotors and i got brembo slotted and drilled rotors with some upgraded pads...a few months after having them on, my back drivers side rotor cracked...so i put one of the stock ones back on...well now my pad seems liek its making big groves in my rotor and makes sounds....is my caliper bad, is it the brake lines or what...but its not liek a lot of small groves just a big one at the top part of the rotor and seems liek its working its way down
...any help would be great...thanx

First thing I would do would be to take everything apart and look for something possibly stuck in there or a cracked pad or anything out of the ordinary. Next i'd make sure the piston is moving properly.
Brakes are tricky.....could even be as stupid as a defective pad or something. I dunno. Just get everything apart first and visually inspect everything

well when i put the stock rotor back on one of the pads(the one facing out towards the road) looked worn..i dunno its hard to explain it ....but im wondering if the piston in the caliper is shot...also can you just buy one brembo rotor with out buying the back set????
if the one on the inside is worn i'd start suspecting the piston not working properly. I had 2 calipers go on me in the past 2 years and i just ran to the local salvage/junk yard and picked them up for 25 bux....and the one looked MINT. So look around, they're easy to change as you probably know. Maybe even a little air in the lines causing it to brake improperly would wear the rotor. You sound like you are in the right direction so i'd just keep poking around or just grab a new caliper.
hope this helps

A new one runs around 120. You can do a lot better at a junk yard but there are the reliablility issue.
