Default P/s pump

Yo!

My power steering pump went out the other day so i removed the belt.

I was told that doing this hurts the steering components if i dont modify my steering.

My question is this true? What ways can I make steering easier without putting a new pump on?

Or is should i get a p/s pump right away?

Thanks a lot.

The steering will be harder without the p/s pump no matter what. If you trace where the P/S lines go and take the two lines coming out of the box and loop them together with a catch can between them it will give the components the fluid flow they need. Search for it, there are some good pics of this setup posted.
