My Type R is Finally Getting the Attention it deserves
Ever since I took the spoiler off my Black ITR, i have not been getting revved on, or even looked at by Ricer's, its a great feeling not to feel like your being watched bysome goof in a Civic with Type R stickers and a exhaust tip.
The best Feeling I had in the world was pulling into a local gas station with about 4 moddified honda's and they asked me the best question I ever heard "How Much did you get the 5 lug for, and where did you buy it" it was music to my ears

Stealth man, stealth...
I've only had one person in passing notice it was an R, "at a gas station." The others who ask silly stuff I just say: " Nah it's an RS!" and I'm on my merry way.
It does feel good not to have all the hassle.
Oh, and the stickers and wing were easy compared to the front "A" emblem, just ask Rodney. It took a total of about 30 minutes to remove the stickers, wing and rear emblems. The front emblem took over 1 hour. We had to remove the whole front nose just to get it off correctly.

I've always contemplated converting my R to look like its lower trim siblings. My conversion would be:
- Switching emblems, and sideskirts to unpainted trim
- Removing spoiler and stickers
- Devoloping some way to attach magnets to the molding to allow easy removal and placement
- Switching ITR seats for leather
- Using Mazda Millenia wheels with centercap to hide 5lug
All this would be done to fool thieves. But after figuring the cost to do this, I could just get a beater

$50 - Switching emblems, and sideskirts to unpainted trim
$0 - Removing spoiler and stickers
$100 - Devoloping some way to attach magnets to the molding to allow easy removal and placement
$500 - Switching ITR seats for leather
$200 + tire- Using Mazda Millenia wheels with centercap to hide 5lug

($850 + $200 tires) = $1050 towards beater car.
BONUS - lower insurance with multi-car discount. Gotta love NJ with their insane premiums
But I remember reading somewhere on this board that somebody still had their ITR stolen after doing some stealth mods to the car. Although I do not know to what extent their stealth mods were.

I still enjoy the, "it's an LS"...i guess noone here really looks at the 5-lug, plus i have ambers all the way around...thinking about sticking some nice moldings, for the extra sleeper look...

shi - who doesn't recommend this
