Tuning the other day on the street, all done with the tune and did a 2nd gear roll on and hit record with hondata and boosted 14 psi then a huge back fire. take off the valve cover and found a broken crower cam shaft. They are the turbo grind cams that were three years old. It wiped out 8 exhaust valves. the pistons look good.
Anybody else had broken cam shafts.

call crower... that sounds like a material defect or something... see what they say

intriguing.....we have a customers car in the shop who has the crower turbo cams as well. We found out that they were so close to breaking only after inspection. The thing that tipped us off was that we couldn't make any more power with vtec than without. Sounds like some manufacturing problems. I think they replaced it for free though (not 100% on that).
