Default OT: Minding my own business

I was on the way to school today this Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T came up next to me and purposely gave me a BOV (did it a couple of times actually). I smiled in awe and what the hell he doesn't look over at all!!!! I stay even with him (not racing of course) and just stares straight ahead. What a loser. I was going to give him a thumbs up for a decent looking Eclipse but he never acknowledged me. And people say we (ITR owners) can be nerds? I give props to any car i see on the road that is nice IMO. I gave a thumbs up to a Red Ferrari 360 Modena and he responded with the same gesture.

Mike <--who thinks the guy in the Eclipse was a ricer of some sort

From my expereince DSM guys have the biggest heads of all car guys. My roomate drives one and he left the DSM club because of all the stuck up attitudes.

I guess they think they're all some kind of super-tuner because they installed a boost controller and went a full second faster.

last time a dsm did that to me, i ran him down 3 times and over shot him by a mile
each time until he finally gave up, slowed down, and stayed behind me.

There is a plethora of smotty Eclipse owners here in Santa Rosa...
One guy revved on me like 30 times all the way through town, cutting in and out of traffic the whole time. Once traffic cleared up on a side street, I pulled up along side and he says"I don't wanna race you here!"
Idiot!

yeah, I love when people do that, they pull up next to you and go the same speed, just so they know that you see them, big deal. then they are all hard-a-- about it, won't even look over.

Manual boost controller and an intercooler and they think they own the streets.

I know the type, many here in Chicago

Agreed, Ive run into a bunch of DSM drivers like that, and it all seems they go for the "BOV as I whiz by you" deal.

Ive spent a bit of time on DSMTalk as well, and honestly, it seems many DSM owners are actually aspiring ITR owners. Not to give you all heads bigger than you already have ( ), but the ITR gets TONS of respect in the DSM community.

MBC & IC, and they think they own the streets...nice quote

I gave a thumbs up to a Red Mustang Saleen. And, to my surprise, he gave me one too.

I've had two experiences with DSMs.

1.) This guy in a modified GS-T was coasting slowly behind a truck in the right-most lane. I'm going 10mph over the speed limit on left lane next to him. As soon as I pass him and the truck, he switches over to my lane and guns it. I thought he was going to run over my *** so I switched to the slow lane. We caught each other at the light and gave each other props.

2.) I'm on the two lane on-ramp that was about to merge into one lane. Apparently, the GS-X behind me thought I was going too slow and decides to switch to the other lane which was about to merge onto mine. I couldn't punch it because my car was still cold but I still decided to speed up to prevent him from passing. Then he looks over and gives me this arrogant look as if to say, "WTF are you thinking trying to step to me?!"

Both cars tried to run me over. One turns out to be aight and the other turns out to be a stunna.

Mike - I rode by the Orlando Club DSM the other night (obviously before the motor blew up) at Super Walmart on 50. I rode by just minding my own business looking at the intercoolers driving like 3 mph. Someone yells at me, "Ah, it's slow", so I do a U-turn and ride by even slower and let out a big Nitrous purge and the butthole has the nerve to say "Ah, still slow", so I waved him to come follow me, but he didn't. Bunch of jerks...

Stuff like that always happens to me. Just let them be, the only reason they're not looking over, is because they know they look stupid, and will most likely lose.
