del sol wont start help please
hey guys
i have a del sol transtop /electric roof. i just got the roof fixed, so i was thinking everything was cool until my baby stopped cold turkey on me, on the way home.
i was drving then all of a sudden i lost power completely the car just rolled to a stop, tapped the excelorator nothing happening, sat on the side of the road for about a minute there was a burning smell, didnt last long then it got me home which was about another 400metres, the i left it alone for a couple of days, i started it up, it started no problems took it down the road and sure enought she did the same thing but now she wont start at all. brother reckons there is no spark.
can u guys give me an idea of what it could be, as i need to get a mobile mechanic out but being a chick and all i dont want him to rip me off, thought if i have an idea i can at least see what hes is charging me for.
any help would be really aprreciated oh by the way its a 1.5 litre vtec engine,
thanks heaps

If there's a shop in the area you trust, you could have it towed there. I had my car flatbed'd to a local shop after a repair attempt went awry, and it only cost $40.
A regular tow should be less, but obviously it all depends on how far away the shop is. I needed to flatbed it because I snapped one of the four load-bearing strut bolts and couldn't get remaining half the bolt out for the life of me.

double check to see if you dont have spark. but it is most likely the ingnitor. that went out on mine and honda wanted $220 for it, but i found a whole new dizzy on ebay for $200 shipped overnight.
check for spark cause my delsol did the same thing on me. It died on me then worked fine for a day or two days then died again etc. I just bought a entire used distributor and replaced the old one and it works fine now.
