Broken Antanae
i have a 96 si and recently i noticed that my antanae was not going down like it used to when i turned my steroe or car off. I can hear the motor of the antanae running like usual yet theres no movement. Any tips or suggestions would be sweet.
that happened to me just this weekend. my friend pushed the antena down while i turned the stereo on and off and it started going up and down again. the only thing bad is that it now makes popping noises while going up and down. i hope nothing got damaged when we "fixed" it.

The only reason its still making a popping noise is because what both of you did is snap off a little piece of the end of the retractable cable. Its a toothed cable that works on a reel, has a tendency to break and break often, I would just buy the mast replacement they have them on ebay for $18 is what I paid, I have seen s2000 antennas and I can't say that I like them, but yes, your motor is still fine, just replace the mast.!
