personally the bike kinda scares me, and im comin from a worked 99 cbr600 puttin out 105hp

i could just imagine the new zx-10r 8+ more hp than the 180hp r1


since when do 1000's have more hp than my b16????

The newest Gen of 1000's all have more HP than a B16.

If you have confidence in your abilities to ride, you shouldn't fear a bike. You should respect what it's capable of doing.

 

this thing aint like ur buddies 2000 gixxer 1 or a new cbr11000, its rediculous, its as light as ur 6 and almost double the power.


i said kinda, it scares me cause for some reason i just keep on that gas, when i know i should be starting to slow down.

nah, only r1 and zx10r are putting out over 160hp at the crank, all other bikes are currently behind.

but watch out for the new gsxr supposedly 191hp

and as for the r1 right now its the fastest

 

Open class bikes are all beasts which can make em really fun or stupidly dangerous. Fear can be a good thing and a bad thing. It can keep you from doing really stupid stuff like triple digits on the street but it can also keep you from rolling the throttle through a turn that you think you're going in too hot and make you crash.

 

I'm pretty sure all openclass bikes are now putting out over 160 crank. They are dynoing from 155 on up at the rear wheel. Including the RR.

I'm pretty sure the new Gixxer 1k is putting down the most HP at the crank at a scary 170 hp. Just what I heard though. I thought the rest of them were in the 155-165 range.
