300zx turbo questions
Just bought this turbo from a local junk yard. it was in pretty good condition and a pretty good price.

This turbo looks to be both water cooled and oil cooled. Its from a 80's 300ZX Turbo so its not the small ones from the TT z's. ok the questions: 1) is that a standard T3 flange on the turbine inlet? it measures about 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" roughly. if not... 2) are the outlet and inlet flanges a pretty common thing to find? outlet doesnt look like the standard 5-bolt pattern. and 3) is this turbo both water cooled and oil cooled? TIA.

1)yes that is a standard t3 flange.
2) i dunno about inlet. but if your talking about the t3 flange again yes it is a t3 flange. and for the downpipe flange. just send your gasket to BMC racing and they can make one for you. they made one for me.
3)yes it is both oil cooled and water cooled. i just used oil and it was ran. was pretty damn good for my d16z6. cant remember when i got full boost but it was like 3500 maybe sooner. haha. i forgot. just PM bmc and see if they can get you one. in the mean time ill look for the drawing he did for me and ill post it up
edit: couldnt find the drawing but found a pic of it while they were doing it
. maybe they still have the drawing on their computer i dunno. but if all else fails you can send them the gasket and they can make it for you

thanks for the info. im hoping this will be good for my LS/VTEC. its gonna be about 8-10 psi or whatever is safe for stock rods (ARP bolts) and stock pistons with new rod bearings and piston rings.
