Does anyone know where i can buy a 1998 1999 or 2000 Honda Civic D16y8 motor? Thank You

It plays a big difference as to what year your D16Y8 is...There's a slight difference between the '96-'98 and the '99-'00 D16Y8s....If you get the one that is opposite of your year then you will also need to get the harness and possibly the ECU as well, not sure about the ECU part though....

Wow The <U>junkyards </U>here dont have any or <U>the shops</U> and I have serched <U>the net</U> and all i've found were the motors i dont need and not that many people sale d16y8 motors because not that people are lookin for d16y8 there lookin for b16 h22 and k20

I have a 1998 Honda Civic Ex but i've been told that a 1999 or 2000 well hook up fine but i dont really know

That's amazing I just signed up here and came to this thread first. I am selling my d16y8 with 86,000 miles on it. I have been the only owner and always fully synthetic and premium gas. All belts changed,water pump, and valve and lifter adjustment done at 60,000. My girlfriend wrecked my 2000 ex 2 weeks ago. I posted on automotive forums also under classified. 500$ including ecu. Located in Hollywood, Fl. my email is thatrough*****dave. I have a couple of pictures.

96-98 have a crank angle positioning sensor (i believe) that the 99-00 does NOT have...I believe this is the difference...
