How to get better gas mileage out of a GSR
New guy here, I heard that there are a couple of mods that could not only increase the performance; but probably get a few more miles to the gallon to boot.
Go on a diet. Or you can get rid of your leather interior. You can store it in my house. You pay for shipping.
Just kidding. I think the best way to improve HP and gas mileage is to have your car tuned. With HONDATA they can make your 0-4K run a bit lean so when you drive your car around town. Then when you get on it 4K- 8K they can tune it aggresively. I'm sure there are a lot of other things but you should learn how to use the search tool. You will learn much. May the force be with you. PS. Just turbo your car. After you feel the boost you will forget about gas mileage.

Just dont go into VTEC if youre very serious about saving mileage. Mileage varies greatly with your driving habits, so dont beat it down. I would suggest keeping it under 4k rpms to the best of you ability. You can try and run fuel injector cleaner if you want an easier alternative. Some people get significantly better mileage by running higher octane, but you already run premium.

I got about an extra 20 or so miles per tank after I installed my AEM V2. Could be a coincidence, but actually I expected my fuel consumption to INCREASE since I love the sound the intake makes.
I'm getting 260 miles until the fuel light comes on and that's ALL city driving. It gets over 300 miles on a tank if I spend any time on the highway.

How dare you drive your car until the fuel light comes on. Someone take this car away from this guy.... J/K
But seriously, don't do that.
PS I like your sig.
GAS MILEAGE:
give your car a tune up and drive conservatively.

Exactly what the guy before me said....Get a tune up, and dont drive in vtec....vtec drink gas like a champ.......also, change your pcv valve if you have a high mileage motor...I changed mine about a month ago( cost 4$ at autozone), and my gas mileage went up considerably
