oil on exhaust manifold gasket
i took off the exhaust manifold and gasket and noticed between the gasket and head there was a little bit of oil in a few spots, not enough to bead or anything but like a thin layer here and there, is that normal as h22s burn a lot of oil anyways, or is it possibly a sign of blown hg, when car is running there arent any bubbles under the rad cap and i didnt notice any coolant in the oil i drained
also, when removing the nuts for the exhaust manifold a couple of the bolts unscrewed out of the head, i got the nut off of them and screwed them back in, but how can i get them tight enough to seal well, when i put the mani back on and tighten the nuts will it just tighten the bolts too??? or is there a better way to do it before the mani gets put on, the unthreaded part is basically up to the head but it can still be unscrewed
thanks

hmmm.....i have never seen wet oil on the gasket like that....thats interesting....maybe you have a bad case of blowby.....
as far as the studs.....before you put on the manifold, just put two nuts on and lock them together, then turn the stud tight....then loosen the nuts and its good to go...
