Hi I am new at all this, I have read all I can in this forum and many more, so I have a pretty good idea what to do (I THINK ) But I lack to find anything which explain steps involving modding - datalogging - tuning.
I wanna data log first to get a feel of this, so PLEASE help me with the steps. The steps i would take are:

OBD1 ecu
Solder necessary parts to ecu

Pop in the ( 29C256 or 27C256 which should I use? ) chip
Connect Nokia cable to CN2
Connect laptop (with UBERDATA or ECUcontrol5 installed) to Nokia cable and i can get readings?

So please help me with this part first then i will read up more on tuning later. PLEASE post links, your personal input, anything on how to get to the data reading point and is there any other part or device i would need.

Thanks for the reply , but i have seen those links before and i did search alot for info before posting .but like i said i did the cable install on my ecu (USB NOKIA)and put in a new chip 27C256 i bought , but i am stuck becaus ei installed ecucontrol on my pc and ran it connect the cable and i was not getting any reading on the gauges.
