mini-me dizzy a6/z6 question
does the a6 dizzy work with a z6 dizzy housing on a z6 head.... my friend said it would work but it wont activate vtec even it i had a rpm switch or vtec controller.... my guess is he's wrong cause i read that the DX dizzy works fine and it looks like the dizzy on the DX and A6 are the same... just want to get things straight. im a noob

If you are swapping the z6 head (OBD1) onto the A6 block then u will need the OBD1 dizzy as well. So to answer your ?: YES u will need the z6 dizzy as well.
Ok, sorry to thread jack, but I asked in Hybrid and have gotten nothing, so I'll ask here, Do I need a EX/SI dist or will any OBD1 Dist work? Like a CX? I'm going with a P28 ecu and doing the whole OBD0->OBD1 conversion

not necessarily he can stay obd-0 if he want to... he just have to fabricate the dizzy mounts ... it will fit trust me i got one right now...
the only difference between the dx dizzy and si dizzy is that the si dizzy has two more wires that you will need to run mpfi.... basically crank sensors wires...
the dizzy has absolutely nothing to do with vtec... its your vtec solenoid and vtec oil pressure solenoid(this comes wid your vtec cylinder head) hook up to your ecu or ecu/vtec activator(either the vtec controller or the dial from summit) that lets you have vtec...
hopefully you guys are enlightened a bit now...

Thanks for the reply. I've been watching them on E-bay and the CX/Generic ones are 10-30 and the EX/Si are 60-80 so it's a bit of a money thing
