Default noob lsvtec question

will i be able to use the exhaust manifold for my LS head after i do an ls/vtec conversion? or will i have to use a header for a b16 or gsr, whichever i choose to use a head from?

All the B-series headers are the same when it comes to the flange that bolts to the head.

If you use a 2-piece header, the A-pipe is what you'll have to match to your vehicle and not the engine.

every bseries header/manifold will interchange a b16 header is alittle shorter because the block of a b16 is 11mm or shorter and a gsr header 94-99 is longer do to a shorter cat. if you want put somthing really or cheap or maybe free, if you have a friend that has a gsr stock manifold they are one of the least restrictive manifolds from honda other than the jdm type r 4-1 header.
