brake light problem: when stepping on the brake, interior light comes on also?
i need help fixing this problem asap on my 95 honda civic ex. when i have my headlights on, my brake lights doesnt work at all but when i have my headlights off my brake lights turn on but dim, and so does my interior lights every time i step on the brake!! this just happended yesterday. what should i check for? thanks in advance
most likely you have a wire grounding out somewhere. Did you mess with the trunk or under the dash? Could be something to do with the combination switch, but I can't make out why your interior light would come on unless you have a faulty door switch thingmabob. Check the your tail lights and see if you have any loose or exposed wires touching each other or metal.
I'm almost 100% sure it's one of your brake bulbs if you haven't messed with any wires lately. Check all the brake bulbs. Since they are dual filament, it's possible that the connectors melted and are "soldered" together
