Default Suspension Popping

I have a popping noise coming from my suspension when I turn the steering wheel. Doesn't really do it on hard/medium turns or anything, happens mainly when turning up or down a driveway, or when turning the car into a parking spot etc. Only suspension mods are springs and shocks (about 8k miles on them), any help is appreciated.

Yeah, I'm thinking they might need to be greased. Anyone know the precedure on this job, do I just buy some grease at autozone and apply it to the joints?

Along with this new popping noise, I have noticed a lot of slop in the steering wheel. Well, the whole car feels like there is some new found slop. Every bump can be felt in the steering will and in the car alike. The shocks have only 5k miles on them and they seem to be in good working order, the springs also have low miles on them. What could my problem be?

I tried searching under: loose, popping, sloppy etc
